“KOREA MICE EXPO 2024” Exhibition Report

JCMA participated as an exhibitor for the first time at the KOREA MICE EXPO (Incheon, Korea, from November 6 to 8, 2024) organized by the Korea MICE Association (KMA), with which JCMA has concluded an MOU. We, mainly the International Exchange Promotion Committee of JCMA, held business meetings at our booth.
We will report below on our activities, including those outside of the meetings, with photos.

①Business meetings with buyers
JCMA held 22 business meetings based on prior appointments over the three-day period.
Buyers came not only from Asia but also from across the globe, and we introduced JCMA member companies to buyers who are considering sending customers to Japan in the future.

②Japan-Korea-China Trilateral MICE Forum
Mr. Batori, the Chairperson of the International Exchange Promotion Committee, participated as a panelist in a session showcasing MICE initiatives implemented by Japan, Korea, and China.
In addition to introducing JCMA’s activities, he pointed out the key challenges for MICE in Japan, including raising awareness, branding, making policy proposals to the government, effective promoting to the media, and collaborating with other organizations. He also introduced JCMA’s sustainable activities and efforts to nurture the next generation.

③ Toast at KME Night
At “KME Night,” a reception attended by all members, Ms. Takeuchi, Deputy Representative Director and Mr. Batori, the Chairperson of the International Exchange Promotion Committee, took the stage and joined other guests in delivering a toast.
