Introducing JCMA’s Activities to the “2024 Busan Global MICE Inspection Group”

On Wednesday, July 3, 15 members of the “2024 Busan Global MICE Inspection Group,” consisting of MICE-related individuals from Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city (including representatives from Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and Busan Convention Industry Association), visited PACIFICO Yokohama. PACIFICO Yokohama, one of the premier MICE facilities in Japan, features a convention center and exhibition hall, and is also a member of JCMA.”

During the visit, the inspection group requested an explanation of JCMA, a leading organization in Japan’s MICE industry. BATORI Makoto, Chairman of the International Exchange Promotion Committee of JCMA and Executive Director of PACIFICO Yokohama, provided an overview of JCMA and its various activities.

Many members of the Korea MICE Association (KMA), with which JCMA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), were also part of the group. We informed them that JCMA will be exhibiting at the “Korea MICE EXPO,” scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8 at Songdo ConvensiA in Incheon. We exchanged messages expressing our anticipation of meeting again.
